RALLY OVERVIEW

FOLLOWING IN THE TRADITION OF THE BAROSSA 2009 AUSTRALIAN CLASSIC SCOOTER RALLY AND TRYING DESPERATELY TO LIVE UP TO EXPECTATIONS; THE MELBOURNE CRUSADERS BRING YOU 'DAYLESFORD 2010 AUSTRALIAN CLASSIC SCOOTER RALLY'.

THIS IS A SOCIAL EVENT FOR THOSE WITH A PASSION FOR CLASSIC SCOOTERS AND THE CLASSIC SCOOTER CULTURE, MUSIC AND ATTITUDE.

THE NATIONAL CLASSIC SCOOTER RALLY 2010 IS AS THE NAME IMPLIES, A CLASSIC SCOOTER RALLY FOR CLASSIC STYLED GEARED SCOOTERS. ADMISSION IS BY THE PRIOR PURCHASE OF A RALLY PACK AND REMAINS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY.

ALL EVENTS, INCLUDING THE ENTERTAINMENT EVENINGS ON THE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY EVENINGS AT THE DAYLESFORD TOWN HALL HAVE BEEN PRIVATELY ORGANISED AND ARE OPEN ONLY TO PERSONS OF EIGHTEEN YEARS OF AGE OR OVER. ADMISSION IS RESERVED TO THOSE HOLDING TICKETS PURCHASED PRIOR TO EACH EVENT.

UNDER THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE NCSR2010 AND ITS PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE, ATTENDEES SHALL NOT WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION TAKE PART IN ANY CANVASSING, DEMONSTRATIONS, OBJECTIONABLE BEHAVIOUR, OR ANY ACTIVITY THAT MAY DISRUPT THE PROCEDURES OF THE NCSR2010. Last tram back leaves around 1:00am, the stop you want is #112 on the corner of Elgin and Lygon Streets. From there turn right and head East. It is only a couple of minutes walk from there or 15 minute drunken stagger back.

DAYLESFORD 2010 NATIONAL SCOOTER RALLY: SHOW AND SHINE.

In the interest of attempting to create a Ballot system that is fair and equitable the NCSR Committee has decided on a Proportional System based on Clubs attending with a voting cap. This means that a Club with a lot of members attending will get more voting rights than one with only a few, but no one Club will have the majority of the votes based solely on numbers. Early on we requested that all Clubs that wished to attend, submit a Club Logo to be made into a Banner to be displayed at the Rally. It has been decided by the Committee that only Clubs who submitted a Banner Logo will have the right to Vote.

The Vote allocation follows the following formula:

1 – 5:               1 Vote
6-10:               2 Votes
11-15:              3 Votes
16-20:            4 Votes
21 – 25:          5 Votes
26 + RP:         6 Votes

Based on the actual number of Rally Packs purchased by each Club; there will have
the following number of votes in each of the Show and Shine categories:

Each Club will be given one Voting Slip per vote (i.e. MCSC 6 Voting Slips and Hobart SC 1 Voting Slip). These will be distributed at the Show and Shine by Richard of the MCSC and collected for counting at 5pm. The Committee leaves it up to the Clubs themselves to decide on the mechanism they use to decide their Votes.

The Show and Shine will be held at the Lake Daylesford Foreshore between the 2 cafes from 3pm till 5pm on Sunday October 3.

· BEST OTHER MARQUE (Voucher for $250 of goods from GPS)

· BEST OTHER LAMBRETTA (Ancillotti Big Bore Exhaust) Casa Lambretta Australia

All Category Winners will also receive a Trophy donated by Sandy from SS Scooter Engineering.

In addition to the above Prizes, Derek from Scootlabs will be handing out 10 Emergency Cable Kits to selected scooters during the Show and Shine.

The Winner will be presented with their Prizes and Trophies at the Daylesford Town Hall, Sunday evening between 8:30 and 9pm.

WHERE TO EAT

This year will be a little different to Barossa 2009; there will be no set meal before the night’s entertainment.

Daylesford has a huge range of options for eating and each Rally participant will be able to choose what and where to eat.

This is a list of some of the options available, the list will continue to be updated and a hard copy will be included in the Rally Pack.

The evening’s entertainment will commence from 7:30pm at the Daylesford Town Hall, 74 Vincent Street.
